come as you are: an empowerment group for women
Join us for a women's group designed to support authentic exploration and dialogue about sexuality for the purpose of greater self-love, self-acceptance, and empowerment.
For too long, our sexuality has been kept separate from who we are. We've judged ourselves and we've been judged. We've ignored it, used it, mistreated it but rarely have we talked about it. Let's reclaim this aspect of our whole selves. Whether you are sexually active or not. Whether you love sex, hate sex, don't care about it, are terrified of it - let's talk about it. We'll use the book Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life by Emily Nagoski as the framework for our dialogue. Spoiler alert: her core message is “you're normal!” Emily will guide us in her funny and informative way to get more comfortable with ourselves by getting more comfortable with our sexuality.
We'll explore topics including:
Tuesdays from 4:30 - 6:00 pm beginning June 14 and completing August 16 (except July 5). We'll meet on Elli's screened-in porch on a quiet street within two miles of the VA Medical Center on Tunnel Rd. Each week, we'll explore one chapter from the book. The cost is $33 per session for a total investment of $297. Once registration is approved, you can pay via PayPal or Venmo. We welcome eight participants to join us for this important step in reclaiming a key aspect of our essential nature.
THIS GROUP IS SOLD OUT. FEEL FREE TO FILL OUT THE CONTACT FORM AND REQUEST EARLY ACCESS TO THE NEXT GROUP.

This is the first in a series of groups being offered for women by Elli Schmeltekopf and Carol Fair, two therapists in their fifties, on a mission to embody their highest potential and to create space for others to do so as well. Neither are sex therapists or specialists in working with sexual issues. They are, however, exceptional at creating safe space and facilitating authentic conversation. Questions? Feel free to schedule a free fifteen minute call with Elli or Carol using the link below.

Emily Nagoski on why she wrote Come As You Are,
“I wrote it because I am done living in a world where women are lied to about their bodies; where women are objects of sexual desire but not subjects of sexual pleasure; where sex is used as a weapon against women; and where women believe their bodies are broken, simply because those bodies are not male. And I am done living in a world where women are trained from birth to treat their bodies as the enemy.”
